Three polyhedral sculptures in an interior room at the Renwick Gallery, lit from within so the cut patterns carried across the walls and floor.

The works were shown in No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man, which brought large-scale work from the desert gathering to Washington for the first time. The exhibition took over the entire Renwick building and extended into the surrounding Golden Triangle neighbourhood. HYBYCOZO showed in both, on view from 30 March 2018 to 21 January 2019.

Powder-coated stainless steel with internal LED lighting, at a range of scales and specified to sit safely within a historic interior. Outdoors, Golden Spike set a lace-like perforated surface against a sharp angular form.

The exhibition was presented by the Smithsonian American Art Museum with the Burning Man Project. Golden Spike was sited through No Spectators: Beyond the Renwick, a collaboration with the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District, which acquired the work. It stands at the Connecticut Avenue Overlook.
