Pyrite grows in near-perfect cubes. The crystal lattice arrives at those right angles unaided, under pressure and without reference to any observer. The work takes the mineral's habit up to body scale and perforates it.

Powder-coated stainless steel with internal LED lighting, formed and assembled as closed cubic forms. The units are sized and grouped differently for each site, so the density of the field can be tuned to the space.
